A Brief History of Phlygrrl.org. From Feb 1998 to Jan 2005, phlygrrl was a linux box that was run by two high school buddies from Pensacola, FL. She started off as a Pentium 75 with 32mb RAM and 850mb HD in my college dorm room in Feb 1998. She served web pages and other useless information from Harris Dorm at Georgia Tech in Atlanta GA. This continued until May 2000 when the dreaded day all college students fear finally came, I graduated (and no more free 10Mbit via OC3 connection to the internet). She then moved to Silicon Valley, CA that summer and resided at my friends workplace at Everdream.com, somehow enjoying a free T-1 connection. My friend got laid off after a few years, but she still remained there enjoying the free T-1 (I don't know how he worked this). At some point in late 2004/early 2005, phlygrrl was severely hacked (you bastards) and became someone else's bitch. The company noticed and the plugged was pulled in Jan 2005 and could not be reconnected. After various hardware failures and upgrades, on her dying breath, Phlygrrl was a PIII 700 with 640mb RAM and 37gb of space. She is best known for hosting a stupid site called www.emotioneric.com, which still lives. Now all that remains is this godaddy.com free web page and archive.com arhives. -Anthony Carl April 2005
